Johann Georg Lickl

Hans -Georg Lickl (also Ligkl ) ( born April 11, 1769 in Korneuburg, Lower Austria, † May 12, 1843 in Pecs, Hungary) was an Austrian composer.

In Vienna, he worked as a piano teacher and is also an esteemed organ players have been. For the Theater auf der Wieden Lickl wrote several operas. In 1806 he was appointed Kapellmeister of the cathedral of Pécs in Hungary, where he turned to the church's composition.

From the late composer in 1843 published during his lifetime by Haslinger in Vienna and with Gombart in Augsburg some of his piano and chamber music works. His sons Karl and Georg Karl Ägid were also composers.
