Johann Gottfried Schnabel

Johann Gottfried Schnabel ( pseudonym Gisander; born November 7, 1692 in Sander village near Bitterfeld, † between April 1744 and April 1748) was a German writer.

Life

Schnabel was orphaned since 1694 and grew initially raised by relatives and acquaintances. He attended school founded by August Hermann Francke in Halle. From 1706 and 1709 he served an apprenticeship as a barber until 1717 he served as a medic in various armies, including as a participant in the War of Spanish Succession.

He then lived probably first in Hamburg in 1719 but apparently barber champion in cross- ford. Documentary detectable again until the grant of citizenship in Stolberg in the Harz Mountains, where he relocated in 1724 with his wife and family. He was from 1731 to 1738 editor of the newspaper Stolbergische collection New and Merck Rev. world history. Schnabel left Stolberg in 1745, after 1750 lose track of him.
