Johann Sabath
Johann " Hennes " Sabath ( born June 4, 1939) is a former German football player, who graduated from 1963 to 1969 at MSV Duisburg 117 games in the Bundesliga and scored six goals in the process.
Career
The talent of Hamborner young player recognized the DFB in 1957 and brought him to the German youth national team to use. " Hennes " Sabath made his debut in the DFB-team on 31 March in Oberhausen in the match against England. When impressive 4-1 win he stormed on outside right. In April, he was a member of the DFB team for the UEFA youth tournament in 1957 in Spain. He played on April 16 in Madrid in a 2-2 draw against Poland at the side of inside forward Günter Herrmann, the defender pair was formed by Fritz Pott and Karl -Heinz Quick Inger.
The contract player career Sabath began in 1957/58 at Sportfreunde Hamborn 07 in the Football Oberliga West. The "Lions" topped with 17:41 points as bottom club in the 2nd League from. The young player had completed ten appearances in the league. After the descent, he moved to SV Hamborn 1890. However, he returned to the Ascent to Hamborn 07. After returning to the Serie A, 1959/60, only four more league inserts were added. With his teammates Werner Rinas, Horst Podlasly and Rolf sheepfold, he finished seventh in the standings in the round 1960/61, and had established itself with 21 appearances and eight goals in the league. In the penultimate league year 1961 /62 he was in a further 21 league games with six goals for the sports fans in use. From 1957 to 1962 he completed 56 games with 14 goals in the Oberliga West for Sportfreunde Hamborn and then joined to the round of 1962/63 the Meidericher SV on. In the last year of the old first-class league in 1962 /63 he won with the " zebra " third place, Meiderich was incorporated into the new Bundesliga and Sabath was present in 17 league games, the colors of Meiderich. The defender celebrated his sporty greatest successes in the 1960s with the Meidericher SV. In the first season of the newly formed Football Bundesliga 1963/64, Sabath was the runner-up behind MSV 1 FC Köln, 1966 he lost his team the final of the DFB Cup against FC Bayern Munich 2:4. Johann Sabath played until 1969 for MSV Duisburg and then moved up to the Regionalliga West for VfL Bochum. He brought it to a total of 117 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring six goals. At the end of his career he played for the amateur division 1 FC Bocholt in the national league the Lower Rhine.
