Honors, ennobling

Research history to J. S. Drey

Almost 80 years Drey was forgotten in Catholic theology. Especially Josef Rupert Geiselmann it is thanks to them that he was "rediscovered" in the 1930s. A highlight of those initiated by Geiselmann Drey - Renaissance forms the Innsbruck habilitation dissertation Franz Schupp. After a halt in the 1970s, the Drey - research in the 1980s was currently playing. Within three years, three theological doctorates were submitted via Drey: in Munich by Raimund Lachner, in Erfurt by Eberhard Tiefensee and in Tübingen at Max Seckler of Abraham Peter Kuster man. While Geiselmann remained until his death, the Nestor of the Drey - research, today Seckler took over this role.

In the course of research, there was no indication on the above- mentioned alleged index method, but only a request for a small font Dreys from 1815 through auricular confession. It was presented together with a publication of his Fakutätskollegen Karl Wachter Roman theologians Maurizio Benedetto Olivieri (1769-1845) for review. While he finally arrived at Wachter, that some had to censor, but still exists in Rome no opinion on Drey. The Ellwanger Vicar General Franz Karl von Hohenlohe stood vigorously on Wachters page, which is why the case against him was discontinued.
