John 'Dusty' King

John Dusty King (actually Miller McLeod Everson, born July 11, 1909 in Cincinnati, Ohio, † 11 November 1987 in San Diego, California ) was an American singer and actor.

Life

Miller McLeod Everson traveled after his studies at the University of Cincinnati, the United States and held by various gigs over water, including as a radio presenter. After his return to his hometown of Cincinnati, he started alongside his work in radio, a career as a singer.

He was discovered by the entertainer and bandleader Ben Bernie. This gave him the stage name John King and brought him to Hollywood. There he was taken from Universal Studios under contract and began his acting career with a starring role in the feature film series Ace Drummond. From then on, John Dusty King was featured in numerous Western and starred in over 50 films. Late in his career, failed to materialize as more film offers, King moved again to the radio and finally acquired its own broadcasting license.
