John Barnes (author)

John Barnes ( born 1957 in Angola, Indiana) is an American science fiction author.

Life

John Barnes grew up in Detroit and Bowling Green (Ohio ). At Washington University in St. Louis, he received a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's in political science. He then worked as a Systems Analyst in New Orleans. At the University of Montana - Missoula, he studied in connection with financial statements as a Master in Theatre Studies (director) and Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing ( fiction ). At the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD in theater studies. John Barnes taught communication and theater studies at Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison.

John Barnes was married in second marriage with the writer Kara Dalkey.
