John Beradino

John Beradino ( born May 1, 1917 in Los Angeles, California as Giovanni Berardino; † 19 May 1996 Beverly Hills, California ) was an American actor.

Career

His career began as a child actor in the Hal Roach films.

After attending the University of California from 1939 to 1953 he was a baseball player. He played for the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates. During this time he served from 1942 to 1945 his military service in World War II from. After a leg injury he retired in 1953 from the sport back and focused instead on acting.

In 1963, he rose in the soap a General Hospital, playing the role of Dr. Steve Hardy until his death in 1996. For his role, he was nominated three times for an Emmy.

Private

John Beradino was married three times. Recently, from 1971 until his death Marjorie Binder. He is the father of four children.

He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

John Beradino died of pancreatic cancer.
