John Jeremiah McRaith

John Jeremiah McRaith (born 6 December 1934 in Hutchinson ) is retired Bishop of Owensboro.

Life

John Jeremiah McRaith received on 21 February 1960, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of New Ulm.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on October 23, 1982 Bishop of Owensboro. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Louisville, Thomas Cajetan Kelly OP, on 15 December of the same year; Co-consecrators were Henry Joseph Soenneker, Bishop Emeritus of Owensboro, and Raymond Alphonse Lucker, Bishop of New Ulm.

From his office he resigned on January 5, 2009.
