John Njenga

John Njenga ( born December 25, 1928 in Tigoni in Kiambu, Central Province, Kenya) is a Roman Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Mombasa in Kenya.

Life

John Njenga studied theology and Latin in Tanzania. He received on 17 February 1957, the sacrament of Holy Orders in the " Kibosho Major Seminary " in Tanzania. In 1957, he studied sociology in London and received his doctorate in canon law. He was then in the care of souls in the Archdiocese of Nairobi operate.

In 1970 he was called by Pope Paul VI. Bishop of the Diocese of Eldoret. The episcopal ordination donated to him on November 22, 1970 Archbishop Pierluigi Sartorelli and co-consecrators Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga and Bishop Caesar Gatimu.
