Roman Catholic Diocese of Eldoret
The Diocese of Eldoret (Latin: Dioecesis Meruensis ) is located in Kenya Diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Eldoret.
History
Pope Pius XII. founded the Apostolic Prefecture of Eldoret on 29 June 1953 of territory of the Diocese of Kisumu. With the Apostolic Constitution Christianorum societas it was raised on 13 October 1959 Diocese and the Archdiocese of Nairobi assumed as suffragan.
On 21 May 1990, it was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Kisumu.

The Diocese of Eldoret comprises the districts of Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Keiyo Marakwet and in the Rift Valley province.
