John Sewel, Baron Sewel

John Buttifant Sewel, Baron Sewel, of Gilcomstoun in the District of the City of Aberdeen, CBE ( born January 15, 1946) is a British economist, university lecturer and Labour Party politician, who has been in 1996 as a Life Peer Member of the House of Lords.

Life

High school teachers and local politicians

After schooling Sewel graduated in Economics at the University of Durham and the University College of Swansea, where he graduated with a Master of Science ( M.Sc.). Another post-graduate studies at the University of Aberdeen, he finished with a Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D.) and then began 1969 ibid an academic career, during which he first research scientist (Research Fellow ), Lecturer and Senior Lecturer was.
