John Trillo

Albert John Trillo (* July 4, 1915; † August 2, 1992 ) was a bishop of the Church of England.

Life and career

John Trillo went on the Quintin Kynaston Community Academy and King's College in London. In 1938, Trillo was ordained a curate before he was free speaker in the St. Michael's church in Cricklewood. In 1945 he became director of the World Student Christian association and pastor of the Friern Barnet area and lecturer at King 's College.

Later he became Dean of Bishop 's College, Cheshunt. It was not until 1963 Trillo was ordained Bishop of Bedford, 1968, then Bishop of Hertford and finally in 1971 as Bishop of Chelmsford. Following the adoption in retirement he assisted for another seven years as a bishop.
