Johnnie Wilder, Jr.

Johnnie Wilder ( born July 3, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio; † 13 May 2006, Clayton, Ohio ) was an American singer.

Johnnie Wilder and his brother Keith were stationed as U.S. soldiers and in Germany and founded in 1975 along the radio group Heatwave. Then they went to London and in the United States.

Wilder had in the 1970s hit " Boogie Nights" ( 2nd place in the pop charts, 1977) and " Always and Forever ". In 1979 he suffered a car accident and was then from the neck paraplegic.

After the accident, Wilder continued to co-producer of Heatwave. In 1988 he changed musical direction towards the Gospel and released the album My Goal. The Single In The Garden was published in 1990. Later appeared the album One More Day.

He died at the age of 56 years.
