Jolene Purdy
Jolene Purdy ( born December 9, 1983 in Torrance or Redondo Beach, California as Jolene Purdy Aiko ) is an American actress.
Life and career
Jolene Purdy was born in December 1983 in Torrance, according to other sources in Redondo Beach, both in California, and grew up there. She is half Japanese descent and has two younger sisters. While she attended Redondo Union High School, she participated in their acting classes and appeared in several musicals at school. She was a member of a children's choir and took this part in a production of the musical Evita at the South Bay Civic Light Opera. After her high school graduation, she took over the role of the narrator in an Aladin live show at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Her first role was in 2001 as Cherita Chen in Richard Kelly's Donnie Darko 's directorial debut, which became a cult film later. After guest appearances in the two television series Boston Public (2001) and Judging Amy (2002), she took a break from acting.
