Jón Rói Jacobsen
Jón Rói Jacobsen ( born April 7, 1983, the Faroe Islands ) is a Faroese football player who was also used for the national team.
Clubs
Jacobsen, 1999 saw the age of 15 made his debut for the first team of HB Tórshavn in the group match of the Cup at ÍF Fuglafjørður when he came on in the 88th minute with the score at 4-0 for Hallur Danielsen. In the second division, he played for the first time on Matchday ninth away against GÍ Gøta, here he came on in the 50th minute when the score was 0:1 for Eyðstein Simonsen, the game was lost with 0:3. Beginning of 2003, Jacobsen was loaned to the Danish first division club Brøndby IF. In the league, he made his debut on 19 game against Viborg FF, here he played from the beginning and was replaced in the 70th minute for Dennis Cagara. At the end he left the club. He completed only four games, including a knee injury that led to several months of failure. In July 2004, the then 21 -year-old took part in a contract with the second division club BK Frem København, with whom he narrowly missed out on third place in the climb. For the Faroese national Jacobsen played 35 times, but could not score a goal. He made his debut as Helgi L. Petersen on June 2, 2001 at the 2002 World Cup qualifying match against Switzerland in Toftir when he came on in the 78th minute for Uni Arge with the score at 0-0. The game was lost 0-1. Jacobsen was then 18 years and almost 2 months, the youngest player to have ever used for the Faroese National Team, this record has since been undercut by Ingi Højsted, who was 17 years and 5 months old on his debut.
