Jón Sveinsson

Jón Sveinsson Stefán ( born November 16, 1857 in Möðruvellir, Iceland, † October 16, 1944 in Cologne) is by its Nonni books one of the most famous in Germany Icelandic writer and was a Jesuit. Life

Nonni is a diminutive of the name Jón. Jón Sveinsson was born on the farm in Möðruvellir Hörgárdalur in Akureyri. His parents were Sigríður Jónsdóttir (1826-1910) from Reykjahlíð at Mývatn and Sveinn Þórarinsson (1821-1869), clerk at the Office Pétur Havstein man, the father of Hannes Hafstein. His parents had eight children, three of whom died in the fall of 1860 during childhood diphtheria.
