Jonas De Roeck

Jonas De Roeck ( born December 20, 1979 in Barcelona) is a Belgian football player.

Career

De Roeck played until 1997 in the youth of the FC Antwerp and then got a professional contract with the oldest football club in Belgium. In the 2000 /01 season he joined the club on in the Belgian Jupiler League.

In 2001 he joined after a total of nine years at Antwerp to Lierse SK, where he was a regular player in the four years there, however, De Roeck could celebrate no achievements.

Then he played two seasons for Germinal Beerschot in the Belgian first division.

The next two years played de Roeck at twice the Belgian champions KAA Gent and reached in the 2008 /09 season in the UEFA Cup.

For the 2009/10 season he signed a contract initially for two years at the German second division side FC Augsburg. Until his meniscus injury after Matchday 4 he was a regular in central defense. In the season 2010/11 De Roeck managed with the FCA as a runner-up promotion to the Bundesliga. After accomplished relegation he was on the final day of the 2011/12 season officially adopted as the club did not renew the expiring contract.

Jonas de Roeck then moved up to the 2012/13 season back to Belgium and signed a contract with Oud-Heverlee Leuven in the Belgian first division.
