Jörg Kuebart

Jörg Kuebart ( born September 2, 1934 in Olsztyn, East Prussia ) is retired Lieutenant General the German Armed Forces ( Air Force ). From 1 April 1991 to 30 September 1994, he was Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Jörg Kuebart is married and has three sons.

Military career

Jörg Kuebart entered 1955 in the Federal Border, before moving in 1956 to the German Army ( Heer) and there trained as a lieutenant in the Tank Corps. In 1957, he joined the Air Force and began a pilot training in Landsberg am Lech and Fürstenfeldbruck at the North American T-6, the Republic F - 84 and the Lockheed T- 33rd

From 1958 to 1964, Kuebart pilot and later squadron commander at the Fighter Bomber Wing 33 in Büchel. By now promoted to captain, he took from 1964 to 1966 at the General Staff Course at the Air Force Staff College in part. When Major Kuebart was then A3 staff officer in command 3rd Air Division. From 1968 to 1972 he was commander of the flying group, then Commodore of the Fighter Bomber Wing 34 " Allgäu ". In this period was his promotion to colonel. From 1972 to 1974, Kuebart Head of Department at Air Force Command in Cologne's air force barracks delusion. From 1977 he was reassigned as military attaché in Madrid. From 1989 to 1991 he was Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Allied Air Forces in Central Europe.

On April 1, 1991 Lieutenant General Jörg Kuebart by then- Defense Minister Gerhard Stoltenberg was appointed inspector of the 9th Air Force. He took this position true until 30 September 1994.
