Jorge Betancourt

Jorge Betancourt García ( born February 13, 1982 in Matanzas ) is a Cuban diver. It starts in the art of jumping from 1 m and 3 m- board and 3-meter synchronized diving.

Betancourt took so far participated in two Olympic Games. In Athens in 2004, he was ranked 21 from 3 m board and was with Erick Fornaris fourth in the 3-meter synchronized diving. In Beijing in 2008 he was 19th on 3-meter board.

In World Swimming Championships he reached his best finish in a single 2007 in Melbourne, as he was from the 3 m board eleventh. In the 3-meter synchronized diving his best result being fifth place with Fornaris, 2005 in Montreal.

At the Pan American Games in 2003 and 2007, he won two silver medals in Fornaris 3m synchronized diving.
