Jorge Sanz (basketball)

Jorge Sanz Rodríguez ( born January 4, 1993, Madrid ) is a Spanish professional basketball player. He plays the position of point guards.

Career

Jorge Sanz began his junior career in 2004 at Piratas Soto Basket in Soto del Real. In the summer of 2007, the then 14 -year-old joined the youth academy of Real Madrid. There he went through several youth teams, before making his debut on 16 April 2011 in a league match against CAI Zaragoza in the first team. In the 2011/12 season, the talented point guard has been taken in the first squad to compensate on the side of Sergio Rodriguez Gomez and Sergio Llull the departure of Pablo Prigioni, but plays in parallel with the B- team in the EBA, Spanish fourth division. In February 2012, Jorge Sanz won the Spanish Cup with Real Madrid.

In summer 2012, Jorge Sanz joined on loan until 2013 as part of the Spanish ACB League on Blu: sens Monbus.

National

Jorge Sanz won Spain's U-16 National Team European Championship 2009. A year later, he was part of the banns for the U -17 World Cup in Hamburg, but finished with his country only the 10th overall place. In summer 2011, he won the gold medal with Spain at the Under-18 European Championship Wroclaw, in the final against the team of Serbia, he went to 22 points and 6 rebounds.
