Jorge Seré

Jorge Seré, full name Jorge Fernando Seré Dulcini ( born July 9, 1961 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.81 meter tall goalkeeper Seré belonged from 1981 to 1987 for the squad based in Montevideo club Danubio. He then moved on to league rivals Nacional, for whom he played until the Apertura 1995. With the Bolsos he won the Copa Libertadores in 1988, where he was in two finals against Newell's Old Boys in the grid. During the subsequent World Cup Final victory on December 11, 1988 in Tokyo against PSV Eindhoven, he was also with from the start. After the 1989 kick-off was on January 31 and February 6, 1989 in the playoffs to the Recopa Sudamericana in the square and thus actively contributing to ultimately carried title win in a duel with the Argentinean representative Racing Club, he was also in the finals to the Copa Interamericana in 1989 used from the start. Nacional sat down in March 1989 against CD Olimpia there through. Later he participated yet the profits of the Uruguayan championship title of the year 1992. After his time at Nacional was in 1995 a stopover in Brazil Coritiba. From the Apertura 1996 to the Clausura 1997 he stood at Liverpool FC in Montevideo under contract. The seasons of 1998 and 1999 he played in the Primera División for the Rampla Juniors. To the End of career, he was again active for the Liverpool FC in 2000.

National

Seré was also a member of the Uruguayan national team. At least one match, he completed when he ran aground on August 7, 1988 in the game against the Colombian selection in the Copa Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada. In 1987 he was with the national team South American champions in the Copa América in Argentina. He also was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the Copa América 1989, which ended Uruguay in second place. However, to use it did not come in both tournaments.
