Jörgen Lennartsson

Jörgen Lennartsson ( born April 10, 1965 in Växjö ) is a Swedish football coach. At the beginning of his coaching career, particularly in the field of youth worked, he won in 2012 with IF Elfsborg Swedish championship title.

Career

Lennartsson began playing football in his hometown at Växjö Norra IF. In 1984 he moved on to unterklassig playing amateur club FK Växjö, where he in 1986 his playing career ended early.

Parallel to his brief playing career dedicated Lennartsson early on as a coach. Initially he worked at his hometown club Växjö Norra IF as a youth coach. In 1989, he oversaw a season Vederslöv / Dänningelanda IF, before signing on as youth coach at Östers IF and zuführte in the U- 20 team of the Club of Hans Backe managed by A- team talent.

In 1994 Lennartsson as a youth coach for Helsingborgs IF. Here he was responsible for six years, the U-20 team. 2000 the club promoted him to assistant coach Nanne mountain beach. In August 2010 Lennartsson announced his return to the club football in January 2011. New employer was the Norwegian club Stabæk IF, in which he succeeded his distinctive country husband Jan Jönsson, who took over the Norwegian giants Rosenborg BK in place of Nils Arne Eggen. However, the economic conditions presented themselves as less well, in the summer the club had Veigar Páll Gunnarsson and Henning Hauger leave for financial reasons. When the Swedish club IF Elfsborg after the end of Allsvenskan season 2011 looking for a successor due to the departure of longtime coach Magnus Haglund, he was therefore the first candidate - even though they tried to keep him in Norway and praised for his professional attitude.

In November 2011 Lennartssons commitment to IF Elfsborg from the Allsvenskan season 2012 was reported in the Swedish press, on 29 November, he was officially presented there. At the end of his first season in the responsibility he led the team to Oscar Hiljemark, Stefan Ishizaki, Lars Nilsson and Niklas Hult to the Swedish championship title.

On September 30, 2013 Elfsborg announced the immediate separation of Lennartsson.
