Jos Hoevenaers

Joseph " Jos " Hoevenaers ( born November 30, 1932 in Antwerp, † June 14, 1995 ) was a Belgian racing cyclist.

Jos Hoevenaers was professional racing drivers of 1956 until 1967. In 1962 he was third in the World Championship road of professionals. He started in all the grand tours and classics. His greatest successes were a tenth place in the Tour de France in 1958 and one day in the yellow jersey, an eighth place in the Tour in 1959 with three days in the leader's jersey and a fifth place in the Giro d' Italia in 1960, after eleven days the Maglia Rosa had worn.

1959 Hoevenaers won the Flèche Wallonne and 1964, he was third in the Tour of Lombardy. Jos Hoevenaers was a son of amateur road racing World Champion from 1925, Rik Hoevenaers.
