José Guerra

Jose Antonio Guerra Oliva ( born August 9, 1979 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban diver. It starts in the 10 - m tower and synchronized diving.

He took part in three Olympic Games so far. In the 10 -meter platform diving in 2000 he was 14 in Sydney, 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing 25th Five. In 2008 he was also in the 10 -meter synchro competition with Erick Fornaris seventh.

Guerra won two medals so far at World Swimming Championships. From 10- m tower he won in 2005 in Montreal and silver in the 10m synchronized diving in 2009 in Rome Bronze at the side of Jeinkler Aguirre.

His first international medal winning Guerra already at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1999, when he won silver in diving. In 2007 he won in Rio de Janeiro from 10 m tower its so far the only gold medal and also silver in the synchro competition. With Jeinkler Aguirre he could repeat at the Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011 in his silver medal.
