José Raúl Vera López

José Raúl Vera López ( born June 21, 1945 in Acámbaro ) is a Mexican Roman Catholic bishop of Saltillo.

Life

Vera López studied Roman Catholic theology. On June 29, 1975, he was a Catholic priest of the Dominicans by Pope Paul VI. consecrated. From 1987 to 1995, Vera López Bishop of Ciudad Altamirano. Vera López since 1999 Bishop of Saltillo.

For his commitment to human rights, he has won several awards, including 2010 with the Thorolf Rafto Memorial Prize.
