José Sentis

José Sentis ( born June 11, 1888 in Tarragona, Spain, † March 20, 1983 in Ivry -sur -Seine, France) was a Spanish pianist and composer.

José Sentis began his career as a pianist in the salons of Paris. Under the influence of Argentine friends as the musician Buchardo Alberto Lopez and the writer Ricardo Güiraldes he played mainly tango pieces. Buchardo Alberto Lopez has composed the tango Germain. Both were among the musicians who made ​​the tango popular in Paris at that time. The composed by José Sentis pieces include baby, Mr. Marquis, Spring, From 5 to 7, Volver and Bad Love. José Sentis also played on major tours (Venezuela, Cuba, North America) and was in the 1920s and 1930s, director of an orchestra.
