Joseph Edamaruku

Joseph Edamaruku ( born September 7, 1934 at the Idukki District, Kerala, † June 29, 2006 in Delhi ) was an Indian journalist and supporter of rationalism.

Life

Edamaruku headed for many years the office of the magazine malayalamsprachigen Keralasabdam in Delhi. He also founded the magazine Therali. Edamaruku was a convinced and committed atheist. In the years 1995-2005 he was president of the Indian Rationalist Association. He worked intensively with the work Abraham Kovoors. His son Sanal Edamaruku is president of Rationalist International.
