Joseph Michael Gilmore

Joseph Michael Gilmore ( born March 22, 1893 in New York City, USA, † April 2, 1962 ) was Bishop of Helena.

Life

Joseph Michael Gilmore received on 25 July 1915, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 16, 1935, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Bishop of Helena. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on 19 February 1936, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Great Falls, Edwin Vincent O'Hara, and the Bishop of Baker City, Joseph Francis McGrath.
