Joseph Thomas Dimino

Joseph Thomas Dimino (born 7 January 1923 in New York City ) is Archbishop Emeritus of the U.S. Military Ordinariate.

Life

Joseph Thomas Dimino received on June 4, 1949, and was ordained priest incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of New York.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 29 March 1983, Titular Bishop of Hyccarum and auxiliary bishop in the U.S. Military Ordinariate. The Archbishop of New York Cardinal Terence James Cooke ordained him on April 20th of that year the bishop; Co-consecrators were John Joseph Thomas Ryan, Coadjutor Bishop U.S. Military Ordinariate, and Louis Edward Gelineau, Bishop of Providence.

On 14 May 1991 he was appointed Archbishop of the American Military Ordinariate and Titular Archbishop per hac vice of Hyccarum. He resigned on 12 August 1997, his office and on 7 March 1998 as Titular back.
