John Joseph Thomas Ryan

John Joseph Thomas Ryan ( born November 1, 1913 in Albany ( New York), New York; † 9 October 2000) was a military archbishop of the United States.

Life

John Joseph Thomas Ryan received on 16 June 1951, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Albany.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on February 7, 1966 the first Archbishop of Anchorage. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman, donated to him on 25 March of the same year, the episcopal ordination; The inauguration took place on April 14.
