József Varga ( born June 6, 1988 in Debrecen) is a Hungarian football player.
Career
Clubs
At the beginning of the 2007/ 08 Varga moved from the reserve in the first team. In the Champions League 2007 /08 Debreceni Vasutas met in the second round of the Swedish champions IF Elfsborg and retired with a 0-1 defeat of the competition. At the end of the season 2007/ 08 he won with his club to second place behind MTK Budapest FC and won with a 9-1 final victory against Honvéd Budapest the Hungarian Cup. In the first round of the UEFA Cup 2008/ 09 Debreceni Vasutas the Karaganda Shakhtar defeated by round 2-1 on aggregate. The second round, however, was lost after return game with 3:7 against BSC Young Boys. In the 2008 /09 season Varga won the Hungarian championship with his club. In the following season Debreceni Vasutas moved to victories against Kalmar FF, FC Levadia Tallinn Levski Sofia in the group stage of the Champions League, but where they did not won. In the same season they were Hungarian champion, Cup Winners' Cup and League Cup winners. Also in the 2011/12 season Debreceni Vasutas was very successful and won the double of league and national cup.
On January 30, 2013 it was announced that Varga changes until the end of the season on loan to Bundesliga club SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
National
October 10, 2009 Varga made his debut for the Hungarian national football team at the qualifier for the FIFA World Cup 2010 against Portugal, which, however, was lost with 0:3. Since he was able to convince anyway, he was then a regular player and used regularly.
On September 2, 2011 Varga also played in the 2012 European Championship qualifying match against Sweden. He had, however, used in defense, because the root defender Roland Juhász and Vilmos Vanczák could not play. But even in this position he was able to convince and the game was won 2-1.
