Juan Bautista Vicini Burgos

Juan Bautista Vicini Burgos ( born July 19, 1871 in Santo Domingo, † May 25, 1935 ) was a Dominican politician and president of the Dominican Republic.

Life

The son of immigrant coming from Italy Juan Bautista Vicini, who came at the time of the resurgence of the sugar industry in the Dominican Republic and due to its good relations with Ulises Heureaux already in 1882 owner of two sugar cane plantations. 1892, his father was the owner of the sugar factory "Angelina" and acquired the following year the concession establishing the sugar mill Central Azuano.
