Juergen Nogai

Juergen Nogai ( born July 2, 1953 in Jessen ) is a German photographer in the field of architecture and art photography. He lives in Santa Monica, California.

Life

Juergen Nogai was born in 1953 in Germany. He lived and worked as a free -lance photo - designer in Bremen, before he moved in 2000 to Los Angeles, where he entered into a creative partnership with the legendary architectural photographer Julius Shulman. The aged Shulman, who had already retired, saw the opportunity to come out of his retirement money and to take on new tasks in cooperation with Nogai. They worked together on projects for architects, institutions, publishers and private clients, including shots of the renovated Getty Museum, now in the Getty Research Institute. Shulman and Nogai worked exclusively with analog photographic technique in large-format cameras, the recordings work through composition and lighting.
