Julie Ertel

Julie Ertel (* December 27 1972 in Anaheim (California ) and Julie Swail ) is an American triathlete and former water polo player.

Career

In 2000 Julie Ertel won at the Sydney Olympics with the U.S. team the silver medal in water polo.

Later they switched to triathlon and started in 2008 in this same discipline again at the Olympics: you won the 2007 American continental championships and qualified thereby to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In November of the same year Julie Ertel won the ITU World Cup race in Cancun.

Ertel holds a BA degree in Economics. She now lives with her husband Greg in Placentia.
