Juran Hisao

Hisao Juran (Japanese久 生 十 兰, real Masao Abe (阿 部 正雄). Born April 6, 1902 in Hakodate, † October 6, 1957 in Kamakura ) was a Japanese writer.

After attending secondary school Hisao journalist at the newspaper Mainichi Shimbun was. He also wrote poetry and worked on drama. Later he studied French drama at Kashida Takashi, a student of Jacques Copeaus, and wrote under the guidance of Kishida Kunio 19228 in Tokyo, his first play Koppai Asobi no Domino.

From 1929 to 1933 Hisao studied physics in Paris and was a student of the actor and director Charles Dullin. After his return to Japan, he was director of the Tsukiji theater group. He has also published short stories, novels and short stories. With Suzuki Mondo 1951 he won the Naoki Prize and Boshizō ( The Mother ) 1955 Short Story Competition of the New York Herald Tribune. As his most important work applies the novel Jujigai ( cross street ).

He also used the pseudonyms Tanigawa Hayashi (谷川 早)六 戸 部 力and石田 九万 吉.
