Justin Furstenfeld

Justin Steward Furstenfeld ( born December 14, 1975 in Houston / Texas) is an American rock musician. He is a singer, songwriter, record producer, guitarist and frontman of the rock band Blue October. He is the brother of Jeremy Furstenfeld, drummer of the band.

Life

As a child, his taste for melancholy music was aroused after he has heard the song Crying by Roy Orbison. Since the age of 14 to Furstenfeld is in psychotherapy. With 22 years Furstenfeld was clinically representations for the first time. Shortly after his release, he released the album with the band The Answers.

In high school, he began playing music and theater acting. With 16 Furstenfeld wrote his first song, which acted on suicide among young people.

Furstenfeld founded as a student of the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts ( HSPVA ) at the age of 13 years, the band The Last Wish, which released two albums and played there until 1995.

Furstenfeld produced for the band Canvas album Four Days Awake and was involved in the recording as a backing vocalist. In August 2008 he toured together with the Twilight author Stephenie Meyer by four cities in the U.S., the concerts were all sold out. In addition, Furstenfeld is also active as an artist. For example, his drawings were used as cover art of the albums The Answers and History for Sale. Was published in 2009 with Crazy Making a book by Justin Furstenfeld, that contains all the lyrics.

Furstenfeld was married and has a daughter (* 2007). His wife separated from him in 2010. He was for some time a drug addict and alcoholic.
