Juvenal Amarijo

Juvenal Amarijo ( born November 27, 1923 in Santa Vitória do Palmar, Rio Grande do Sul, † October 30, 2009 in Salvador, Bahia) was a Brazilian football player.

In his club career Juvenal played for five clubs, among which the famous CR Flamengo and Palmeiras were SE. His successes include winning the Campeonato Paulista with Flamengo counted in 1950.

For the Brazilian national team played the defender between nine and eleven games. In 1950 he was in the squad of the team that won the second place at the World Cup in their own country ( " Maracanaço ").

Juvenal died in 2009 at the age of 85 years, the last player who had stood in Brazil's World Cup defeat to Uruguay on the court.
