K1010 TV

RTLinteractive GmbH ( 19.87 %), UV Interactive Entertainment Ltd. ( 16.03 %)

K1010 was an interactive TV channel from Berlin and received from April 2004 to October 2006 via digital satellite and some cable networks.

The program consisted of numerous game and quiz shows. The spectators had here the opportunity to participate by calling a paid phone number from Germany and Austria in the Games.

Game concept

K1010 differed from the game concept clearly from the rest of the call-in television landscape in German. One player played mostly several rounds with tasks that he did not know before the game starts. Difficulty and ausgelobter profit increased from round to round. After each round, the candidate was able to get off, but had to decide before he was found the next task. In a false answer the previously earned income was lost.

Although immediately after each round a new candidate was placed in the program, many calls were usually required to be selected as a participant. So at least the dial cost are accumulated, had to be played to the higher rounds, although they were fair, but quite challenging. For shipments News Quiz and Up2Date who had questions about the current events of the day to the content, a lot of preparation was necessary, for example in order to win a three -figure sum can.

The high level of tasks and the low range of the transmitter via digital channels and a few analog cable networks meant that almost exclusively attended master players in the games. Well over 80 % of the rounds was from a small player base that was less than 50 people, denied. First caller had even a great rarity.

Due to this fact a more psychological barrier was created for potential first caller, as a " club atmosphere " was created. Although the key players were limited by rules, as only a profit per shipment, players could not be recovered enough to achieve a cost -effective operation.
