Kaarlo Rantanen ( born December 14, 1988 in Tampere ) is a Finnish football players. The midfielder is at FC Kuusysi in the Finnish Kakkonen under contract.

Career

Kaarlo Rantanen was born in the southwest of Finland in Tampere. As a child, he joined the local football club Ilves Tampere before Rantanen went to Lahti Reipas, a club from the city of Lahti. In 2007, the FC Lahti became aware of the tech-savvy player and committed this.

At the club from the First Division, however, the midfielder came in three seasons only to a few stakes. During his time at FC Lahti he was loaned in 2009 on loan in the second Finnish League for FC Hämeenlinna. After two years he left the club to Slovakia, where Rantanen signed for MFK Topvar Topoľčany. After he stayed there among his options, he went back to his home club Ilves Tampere. At the end of the season 2010 Rantanen played before in some Finnish first division in the trial. There, he could not recommend it for a contract and signed for JK Nõmme Kalju from Estonia initially for one season. The club from Tallinn committed next Rantanen some players to attack the summit, such as Kristen Viikmäe, Alo Bärengrub and Tarmo Neemelo. He made his debut for Kalju on the opening day of the 2011 season against the defending champion and record champions Flora Tallinn. The first goal he could achieve against JK Maag Tammeka Tartu.
