Kabát

Kabát ( German: coat) is one of the most commercially successful Czech rock bands. They play Hard Rock, Arena Rock and Pop influenced style. The band was founded in 1983. In the beginning the band played Thrash Metal, which was not tolerated by the then Communist authorities. That's why it was in the early years no public concerts. In 1985, the band broke up for 3 years. It was only on 1 May 1988, the band members got back together to play the old habit again together Thrash Metal. Gradually, the music developed through hard rock to something between country and the current style. Since 1988 there has been no change in the composition of the band members.

2007 represented Kabát Czech Republic for the first participation of the country at the Euro Vision Song Contest with the title Malá dáma, but came on the 28th and last place not out in the semifinals.
