Kadłubiec

Kadlubietz (Polish Kadlubiec ) is a place in the bilingual Polish community Leschnitz ( Leśnica ) in the powiat Strzelecki of the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

The road Kadlubietz village is situated about 30 kilometers south-east of Opole and 5 kilometers north of Leschnitz in the historic Upper Silesia.

History

For the first time the village was mentioned in a document from 1302 Katlubetz. In the 17th century the village was registered as Kadlubiec and Kadlubiecz.

Until the secularization in 1810 Kadlubietz was owned by the monastery pin heaven joke. In 1783 there were in Kadlubietz a mill, Vorwerk and some farms. The village at that time numbered 144 inhabitants. 1817 appears as a major owner of the village of Thurn from Wyssoka. At that time there were 184 inhabitants. 1843 here were three businesses, including a lime kiln.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on 20 March 1921 which was accompanied in the area of civil wars, voted in Kadlubietz 275 people to remain in Germany and 97 for Poland. Kadlubietz remained as the entire voting district wholesale Strehlitz the German Reich.

From 1933 the new Nazi rulers large-scale renaming of place names of Slavic origin conducted. 1936, the village name was changed to Kadlubietz Annatal.

As a result of the Second World War came Kadlubietz as Kadlubiec to Poland.

In 2006, the Gmina Leschnitz who belongs to the current Kadlubietz as district, German as an auxiliary language, and in 2008 a bilingual place names.

Among the historically interesting buildings in the area of Kadlubietz heard a Dutch windmill and a small chapel with the image of St. Florian from the 19th century.
