Kai Michalke

Kai Michalke ( born April 5, 1976 in Bochum -Werne ) is a former German football player and 1.FC Nuremberg played for VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga and came to 17 inserts into the U-21 national team. 2008, the offensive player ended his career in the Dutch Eredivisie at Heracles Almelo.

Career

As C -teenager Kai Michalke was changed in 1989 by his hometown club SG Werne for VfL Bochum. Already as a teenager he made so much attention with his performance that coach Jürgen Gelsdorf received him with 17 years in the professional squad. Michalke came in the 1993/94 season twelve times in the 2nd Bundesliga for use, firing shots two goals and managed with VfL promotion to the First Bundesliga. The following season he alternated between starting eleven and Reserve Bank and could not avoid relegation despite 24 operations (5 goals). 1994/95 rolled coach Klaus Toppmöller the Elf to radically, and Michalke breakthrough as a regular player. After the revival, he lost his place on the left wing to Olaf Schreiber, but contributed with seven gates to the surprising qualification in the UEFA Cup at. On the Spree Michalke was not happy and completed in two years, only 22 league games; but came to ten appearances in the Champions League season 1999 /2000. 2001/ 02 he was transferred to the 1st FC Nuremberg, where he played 43 times in two years and scored four goals. 2003/ 04 he moved to Alemannia Aachen in the Second Bundesliga. There he hovered in the first season between starting eleven and Reserve Bank, but established himself in the following season and scored in his career - best value of eleven goals this season. He was part of the team that reached the DFB Cup final, and ( as cup winners Werder Bremen also German champion ) was allowed to play in the UEFA Cup. 2005/ 06 was followed by a bye in the first league, when he was transferred to MSV Duisburg. There, however, graduated Michalke only six games and moved after one season to Heracles Almelo in the Dutch Eredivisie. There he was first stopped by an Achilles tendon injury, but managed in two years 22 season games.

Michalke completed 158 (18 goals) Bundesliga, 99 ( 24) second division and 10 ( 1) Champions League appearances. He was used both in attack and in the midfield.

National

Michalke played 17 times in the German U21 national team and scored six goals. He was U-16 European Championship in 1992 with the German U-16 selection in Cyprus.

Coaches work

Michalke has a coaching license. For the season 2009/10 he moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 in the fifth rate NRW-Liga. He took over here as coach of the B- youth and belonged simultaneously to the cadres of the first men's team, however, parted in August of 2009 by the SG Wattenscheid 09 In January 2010, Michalke hired as coach of the leaders of the national League Middle Rhine, SV Breinig 1910 ( Stolberg near Aachen ) on. After a sporty disastrous second half was separated already at the end of the season again.
