In Cold Spring New York Naina and Rohit meet the charismatic Aman. My college friend Rohit, a charming wannabe womanizer, and the untwisted girlfriend Sweetu are their only distraction, but they rarely are able to free themselves from their deep sadness.

What a relief suddenly enters their lives Nainas neighboring Aman. He is full of joy and has taken it into his head, Naina leave some of it. His first attempts fail, however. Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and Ehsaan Noorani received the award for Best Music.

Javed Akhtar was awarded for the lyrics to the title song of Kal Ho Naa Ho Sonu Nigam and as Best Playback Singer for the same song.

Sanjay Sankla won the " Screen Weekly" for the best film editing and Karan Johar for best screenplay. Saif Ali Khan was honored as Best Supporting Actor.

He was in the same category and the Zee Cine Award. Yash Johar also won a Popular Award for Kal Ho Naa Ho, however, as the best song of the year.
