It consisted initially of a few colonists sites and a flour mill and belonged first to the municipality Kieslingswalde. After construction of more houses and increase in population, there was an independent municipality a few years later.

After the reorganization of Prussia Stone Ground belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was first incorporated into the county of Glatz. 1818 was reclassified in the newly formed district Habelschwerdt. 1874, the rural community of stone base was assigned to the newly formed District Kieslingswalde, which included also Glasegrund, Marienau, Neudorf, Plomnitz, and white water. 1939 counted 186 inhabitants.

As a result of the Second World War, Stone Ground fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Kamienna. The German population was expelled. Since many houses were abandoned to decay, the number of inhabitants declined significantly. 1975-1998 belonged to Kamienna Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
