Kamov Ka-115

The Kamov Ka -115 (Russian Камов Ка -115 ) Kamov developed a light multi-purpose helicopter in the class of the French " Ecureuil ". The drive consists of a 550 -hp PK206D turbine, which is developed by the Russian- Canadian joint venture Pratt & Whitney / Klimov. The well-known of the Kamov Koaxialrotorsystem consisting of two counter-rotating three-bladed rotors, was retained.

A mock -up of the Ka -115 was exhibited at the MAKS '97 in Zhukovsky near Moscow. It was intended as a passenger, cargo, rescue and SAR as well as a patrol helicopter versions. However, the general financial crisis in Russia delayed the program at least. A prototype has not yet flown so far (as of September 2005).
