The Kanjut Sar I is a 7760 meter high mountain in the Karakorum. He belongs to the Hispar Muztagh, part of the Karakoram main chain in the Pakistan autonomous region of Gilgit -Baltistan.

Location

The Kanjut Sar I is located in the eastern part of the north of Muztagh Hispar Hispar glacier and south of the Shimshal Valley. Under its western wall of the Northeastern Yutmaru Glacier, combines with other glaciers around the Yutmaru Glacier and flows south to Hispar Glacier feeds. The south wall is the accumulation area of Khani Basa glacier, which also flows into the Hispar. Climbing history

The Kanjut Sar I in 1959, first climbed by Camillo Pellissier, member of the Italian team, headed by Guido Monzino. A Japanese expedition succeeded in 1981, the first ascent of the west wall. After three high camps were set up three rope teams on 4, 5 and 6 August could reach the top.
