Geography

The village is located in Kappel is part of the Untergäu, nestled between Jurasüdfuss and the Born to 425 m above sea level. Of the 509 hectares of the municipality is 249 ha of forest, 176 ha of agricultural land and 82 ha settlement area.

The Born

The Born is a 719 m high hill of Vorjurakette. On the Born is the landmark of Kappel. A small romantic chapel from 1866. On the Born to grow 26 species of trees.

Traffic

Urban Kappel is a bus which Olten anfährt every half hour. In the neighboring village of Hägendorf is also a stop on the Swiss Federal Railways. Even with the car Kappel be reached quickly, but it is between the A1/A2 motorway feeders Oensingen and Oftringen. There is a bus every half hour to Olten ( Olten Gösgen Gaeu bus operation ).
