Kapuskasing River is a river in the Canadian province of Ontario.
The river has its origin in Kapuskasing Lake in Algoma District. From there it flows in a north- northeasterly direction. It passes named after him Kapuskasing city and empties after about 180 km from the left in the Mattagami River.
Hydropower plants
There are four hydroelectric power plants south of Kapuskasing in the building: Old Woman Falls, White Otter Falls, Camp Three Falls and Big Beaver Falls. The power plants each have 5.5 MW.
At the river north of Kapuskasing Lake the construction of four hydroelectric plants ( Kapuskasing Lake Outlet, Lapinigam Rapids, Middle Township Buchan ( Clouston Rapids ), Near North Boundary ( Cedar Rapids ) ) is examined with a total capacity of 19.45 MW.
