Moose River (Ontario)

The Moose River is a river in Cochrane District in northern Ontario ( Canada).
It flows from the confluence of the two rivers Mattagami and Missinaibi River 104 km in a north-easterly direction to James Bay. Its catchment area is 108.5 thousand km ², the mean discharge 1370 m³ / s Measured from the source of the Mattagami River it reaches a total length of 547 km.

Moose River Bird Sanctuary
The Moose River Bird Sanctuary (English Moose River Bird Sanctuary ) is located at the mouth of the Moose River and includes besides the Ship Sands Iceland still a piece of land east of the river mouth. The reserve has an area of 14.60 km ².
