Karan Bilimoria, Baron Bilimoria

Karan Faridoon Bilimoria, Baron Bilimoria CBE (* November 26, 1961 in Hyderabad, India) is a British businessman and life peer, who is best known as the founder and CEO of Cobra Beer.

Life and career

Bilimoria was born in Hyderabad, India, the son of a Parsi family. He studied at the Osmania University, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Commerce. Subsequently, he worked for Ernst & Young before he studied law at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, and this study ended with a Bachelor of Arts.

He founded Cobra Beer in 1989, its goal the creation of a lager that is suitable for consumption by its taste with curry and other dishes was. Because of its economic merits he was awarded in 2004 as a Commander of the British Empire.
